Morris Stations Adopt Dejero’s Cellular Uplink

Morris Network will be phasing out its satellite trucks and deploying the Dejero LIVE+ platform of cellular newsgathering products across its television stations.

Morris is implementing the Dejero LIVE+ 20/20 transmitter and mobile app to provide enhanced live news and event coverage at each of its stations: WCBI Columbus, Miss. (DMA 133); WWAY Wilmington, N.C. (DMA 132); WDEF Chattanooga, Tenn. (DMA 87); WTVQ Lexington, Ky. (DMA 64); and WMGT Macon, Ga. (DMA 120).

Implementing Dejero’s platform also provides Morris with significant cost savings over traditional transmission methods; as a result, we have elected to phase out satellite transmissions across our many markets.”
