Movies! Network Signs Five New Affiliates
Movies! Network, a classic movie multicast network, has signed agreements with new affiliates in Charlotte, N.C.; Salt Lake City; Boise, Idaho; Wausau, Wis.; and Victoria, Texas.
These five new markets represent more than 2% of US television homes, increasing the Movies! Network clearance to 49% on 43 affiliates.
WJZY Charlotte (DMA 25), owned by Fox Television Stations, will launch Movies! Network on July 1 on over-the-air ch. 46.2, Time Warner Cable ch. 147, Comporium Cable ch. 120, Charter ch. 80, SkyBest TV ch. 262, CoMPAS ch. 113/143, RST Fiber ch. 8, and Lenoir-Rhyne College ch. 46.
KUCW Salt Lake City (DMA 33), owned by Nexstar Broadcasting, launched Movies! Network on May 1 on over-the-air ch. 30.2 and Comcast ch. 106.
KTRV Boise (DMA 110), owned by Idaho Independent Television, will launch Movies! Network on Sept. 6 on over-the-air ch. 12.3 and Cable One ch. 489.
WFXS Wausau-Rhinelander (DMA 135), owned by Davis Television Wausau, will launch Movies! Network on Oct. 1 on over-the-air ch. 55.3 and Charter ch. 964.
BRAND CONNECTIONS
KMOL-LD Victoria (DMA 203), owned by Saga Broadcasting, launched launch Movies! Network on June 1 on over-the-air ch. 17.2 and Comcast ch. 104.
Movies! Network launched nationally in May 2013 and is owned and operated by Fox Television Stations and Weigel Broadcasting Co.
