Virtual Panel — Trilogy’s Virtual Panel software application exploits wireless infrastructures to provide high-performance intercom control. The software can be installed on smartphones, tablets, desktop PCs, or laptops and runs on most popular operating systems. It provides remote access to any Trilogy intercom system anywhere, anytime over standard TCP/IP networks whether wired, wireless or in combination, and is capable of operating over 3G/4G networks. Virtual panels come in two main types, a full facility panel with speak or listen or speak/listen and group or conference keys, which also can be used for routing audio, and a simpler beltpack panel with fewer keys and a separate listen key with level control for program audio. This simpler version is designed for a camera operator to use in place of a traditional beltpack, and uses a Bluetooth connected push to talk (PTT) switch. The Virtual panel is compatible with Trilogy’s Mercury, Messenger and Gemini matrices and the new peer to peer VoiceFlow IP intercom.
