NAB beefs up its government relations team

The National Association of Broadcasters has a new director of government relations. Mike Mullen comes to NAB from the office of Rep. Mike Doyle (D-Pa.), where he has been senior legislative assistant since March 2004. With particular focus on legislation pertaining to the digital television transition and the Satellite Home Viewer Improvement Act, Mullen was responsible for all telecommunications, technology, consumer protection and health care issues before the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

Prior to joining Doyle’s staff, Mullen worked for Rep. Jim Turner (D-Texas) for six years, during which he was legislative assistant, and later, senior legislative assistant, focusing on telecommunications, technology, health care and trade.

Mullen received a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University in 1996.
