NAB Show N.Y. Breaks Attendance Record

The gathering had 15,404 preliminary registered attendees and 362 companies spanning 63,011 net square feet of exhibit space at New York's Javits Convention Center.

NAB on Thursday announced preliminary registered attendance of 15,404 for the 2016 NAB Show New York that was held Nov. 9–10 at the Javits Convention Center. NAB said the attendance figure represents a nearly 30% increase over 2015 preliminary registered attendance of 12,055.

The exhibition had:

  • 362 companies spanning 63,011 net square feet of exhibit space, a 15% increase over 2015.
  • 15,404 preliminary registered attendees.
  • 1,112 preliminary registered international attendees.
  • 87 countries represented.

“The growth of this year’s show is a testament to the power of the NAB Show brand and our ability to produce a dynamic and productive experience for attendees and exhibitors,” said NAB EVP of Communications Dennis Wharton. “We look forward to continuing to find new ways to serve media and entertainment professions in this unique and thriving New York media market and beyond.”

As previously announced, next year’s NAB Show New York will co-locate with the Audio Engineering Society’s East Coast convention on Oct. 18-19, 2017.
