Napolitano To Head Programmatic At Hubbard

Former Petry Television CEO Val Napolitano becomes  executive vice president of programmatic for Hubbard Television Group.

Hubbard Television Group today hired Val Napolitano to be executive vice president of programmatic. Napolitano has more than 41 years of broadcast experience, with 37 years at Petry Television. He has been president-CEO of Petry Television for the past 15 years.

By definition, programmatic is the process of executing the buying and selling of media in an automated fashion through platforms such as exchanges, trading desks, demand-side platforms (DSP’s) and supply-side platforms (SSP’s).

Hubbard said in his role as EVP of programmatic, Napolitano will analyze and evaluate the various SSP’s and DSP’s and work toward industry accepted practices for integration into the buying/selling process. The objective is to make the entire procedure easier to transact between stations/reps and agencies, as well as bringing new advertisers into the fold.

“Programmatic is becoming an important part of our business,” says Rob Hubbard, president-GM of the Hubbard Television Group. “We are glad to have this industry leader join our team as we explore new opportunities for our stations.”

Napolitano has lived in Atlanta since 1976 and in this new role will remain based there.
