NBC-owned WNBC New York (DMA 1) today promoted Natalie Pasquarella to co-anchor of the station’s 11 p.m. newscast. She joins co-anchor Chuck Scarborough in this new role, effective immediately.

Pasquarella currently co-anchors the station’s 4 p.m. newscast with Stefan Holt and 6 p.m. newscast with Chuck Scarborough. She will continue in these existing roles, in addition to her new, permanent duties at 11 PM.

Joining WNBC last fall as the station’s weekend co-anchor and weekday reporter, Pasquarella became the station’s 4 p.m. co-anchor this past June. In August, she co-anchored WNBC’s Olympics special, The Olympic Zone with David Ushery, presenting highlights from the Rio Olympics. Pasquarella previously spent seven years at WSOC Charlotte, N.C., where she co-anchored the station’s weekday 5:30 and 10 p.m. newscasts.

Pasquarella received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Kent State University’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She was recently honored by the school with its “Fast Track Award” recognizing alumni who have made significant strides early in their career.
