NBC O&Os Offer Weekend Of Golden Globes

The NBC Owned Television Stations will kick off the 2016 awards season with a weekend full of programming dedicated to celebrating Hollywood’s golden night, the Golden Globe Awards.

The NBC stations’ special programming includes two hours of special coverage, including a one-hour live red carpet pre-show on the night of the Golden Globes, a half-hour show dedicated to dishing the best hottest red carpet ready tips and a second half-hour special that will feature special celebrity interviews. All three shows will air on the 11 NBC owned stations located in the United States and Puerto Rico as well as many NBC affiliates. The special programming will lead up to the presentation of the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards, which will air on Sunday, Jan. 10, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 PT on NBC.

The centerpiece of the NBC-owned stations’ programming will be 1st Look LIVE on the Red Carpet, a one-hour, live red carpet pre-show that will be hosted by New York Live’s Sara Gore, Lilliana Vazquez and Jacque Reid. 1st  Look LIVE on the Red Carpet will air on Jan. 10 at 6 p.m. ET / 3 PT and lead up to the Golden Globes pre-show on NBC at 7 / 4.

For viewers looking to get in on the celebration in advance of the big night, they can tune in to 1st Look on Saturday, Jan. 9, following SNL. The show’s 2016 premiere features Ashley Roberts, the former member of the best-selling pop group, The Pussycat Dolls, making her debut as the new host of NBC’s lifestyle show 1st Look. The special half-hour episode, 1st Look: Hollywood’s Biggest Party, will share what’s hot and what’s not and give viewers the best tips of the trade to get red carpet ready and join in on Hollywood’s biggest fete, from home.

The festivities continue with Cat Greenleaf, host of NBC’s Talk Stoop as she hosts a special half-hour show, Talk Stoop Award Season Kickoff, featuring interviews with celebrity guests, including Jennifer Lopez, Rosie Perez and Connie Britton, among others. Talk Stoop Award Season Kickoff will air on NBC stations on Saturday, Jan. 9 and Sunday, Jan. 10. 

NBC stations’ websites will feature the latest red carpet photos and up-to-date information about this year’s awards show, including the list of nominees and winners, as well as a “Guess Who Wore It” interactive game highlighting what the stars wore to the award show and in previous years.
