NBC O&Os To Air Golden Globes Specials

Hoping to leverage the network broadcast of the awards show this Sunday night, the station group will offer an hour and a half of additional Golden Globe programming prior to the network feed. It also plans to dedicate the season premiere of 1st Look on Saturday night to Golden Globe coverage.

The NBC Owned Television Stations will try to make the most of the NBC broadcast of The  72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards this Sunday (Jan. 11) at 8 p.m. ET, airing related programming the night before and hours before the awards broadcast.

The centerpiece of the special programming will be a one-hour live show, 1st Look LIVE on the Red Carpet, hosted by New York Live’s Sara Gore and Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson, along with nationally known fashion correspondent Lilliana Vasquez.

It will air at 6 p.m. leading up to the Golden Globes network pre-show at 7 p.m. ET.

Just before that, starting at 5:30 p.m., Cat Greenleaf will host Talk Stoop Award Season Kickoff featuring interviews with celebrity guests.

On Saturday night after SNL, host Audrina Patridge kicks off 1st Look’s season premiere with Golden Globes coverage.

“The Golden Globes are one of Hollywood’s most fun award shows, and we are so excited to give viewers a first look at all of the action,” said Nicholas Veneziale, Executive Producer of 1st Look LIVE on the Red Carpet. “From the stars, to what everyone is wearing, we really love to kick off the party. For us, it’s a night to celebrate all things entertainment.”
