NBC/Telemundo Stations Get Digital Mgmt. VP

As vice president of digital product management and design, Azza Elsheikh will lead the station division’s product and designs teams.

NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations today appointed Azza Elsheikh vice president of digital product management and design.

In this role, she will be responsible for the leadership of the division’s product and designs teams and the creation of innovative digital products for English and Spanish-speaking audiences the NBC- and Telemundo-owned stations serve. Elsheikh will report to Lora Dennis, SVP of digital media for NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations.

“Azza’s strong leadership skills and innovative thinking will be vital for our division and local stations as we explore ways to expand our digital footprint to new platforms to provide local news and weather information to our audiences when and where they need it,” said Dennis.

Elsheikh joins NBCUniversal after working for American Express for almost six years as senior manager of digital R&D product management and director of international products and marketing. While at American Express, she was responsible for overseeing the teams that created new digital products and features, including the company’s first U.S.-based mobile/tablet product that helped to drive brand awareness and generate new membership business. In her most recent role, she oversaw delivery of various digital features across more than twenty international markets.

Before this, Elsheikh worked as a marketing consultant for various companies and at Kaplan Inc., among others. She launched her professional career as a marketing intern for Comcast Corp. in New Hampshire.

Elsheikh earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Pace University and a master’s in business administration, marketing and finance from Indiana University. In addition, during her time at American Express she attended New York University’s School of Professional Studies to pursue a certificate in UX and technology design.
