NBCU Names Moore TV Everywhere GM

Alison Moore, the former GM-EVP of Daily Candy and HBO exec, will will be responsible for NBCUniversal’s TV Everywhere initiative, and will work with Ron Lamprecht.

NBCUniversal announced today that Alison Moore has been named general manager and EVP, TV Everywhere for the content distribution group.

In this newly created role, Moore will be responsible for NBCUniversal’s TV Everywhere initiative, including building a team to drive the consumer experience and develop marketing and strategy to increase audience awareness, adoption and engagement across the company’s portfolio of networks.

Moore will work in concert with Ron Lamprecht, who will have expanded responsibilities in his current role as EVP, digital distribution. Lamprecht, NBCU said, will broaden his focus on driving deal activity with current and future linear providers, operational delivery, and the current season TV windowing strategy for NBCUniversal’s New Media platforms. Moore and Lamprecht will both report directly to Matt Bond, EVP, content distribution.

“Alison’s proven leadership in digital media — from small start-ups to major media companies — adds tremendous value to our rapidly evolving content distribution effort,” said Bond. “Just last year NBCUniversal distributed 140 TV series on TV Everywhere, marking more than 50% growth from the previous year. Now more than 16 networks are hosting 6,000 episodes per year ….” 

Moore most was the GM-EVP of Daily Candy where she was responsible for strategic direction and business operations. Prior to coming to NBCU, Moore was HBO’s SVP of digital products, where she led the consumer experience, content development strategy and operations of HBO’s digital platforms: HBO GO, HBO.com, HBO Social Platforms and HBO On Demand.

During her tenure at HBO, Moore was also responsible for HBO’s brand advertising and promotional strategy.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Prior to HBO, Moore worked at Cablevision, Turner Broadcasting and various digital start-ups.

Over the last year, NBCUniversal has reached distribution deals with 80% of the marketplace and has launched content from every NBCUniversal network into TV Everywhere.
