NBCU News Group Names Sr. Ad Sales Execs

NBCUniversal announced today four appointments in its News Group’s advertising sales organization.

Tom Stevens has been promoted to the newly created role of SVP, NBCUniversal News Group Sales where he will have strategic oversight of the sales partnerships for NBC News, CNBC and MSNBC to open doors for new client partnerships.

Christina Glorioso has joined the company as SVP, NBCUniversal News Group Advertising Sales Client Solutions, a newly created role, to further develop unique marketing opportunities for clients across the News Group in partnership with relevant NBCUniversal properties.

Effective immediately, Stevens and Glorioso will report to Mark Miller, EVP for advertising sales, NBCUniversal News Group, who oversees the News Group Ad Sales division, including strategic sales, pricing and planning, new client development as well as marketing and client solutions.

Additionally, Lynne Kraselsky has joined the NBCUniversal News Group in the new position of VP, CNBC sales where she will be charged with all sales efforts for the network.

Filling Stevens’ previous role, Ann Scheiner has been promoted to VP, sales for NBC News and MSNBC, expanding her purview to include oversight of advertising sales for NBC News and MSNBC. Also effective immediately, Kraselsky and Scheiner will report to Stevens.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Stevens previously was VP, network news sales at NBCUniversal with oversight of advertising sales at MSNBC. Prior to joining NBCUniversal, he served 18 years at Turner Broadcasting Sales in a variety of senior leadership roles, most recently as SVP of sales for the company’s regional cable and local broadcast platforms.

Glorioso will join NBCUniversal with nearly 20 years of marketing and sponsorship experience, after most recently serving as chief marketing officer at Majesco Entertainment for the past three years. From 2004 to 2010, Glorioso held multiple positions at Viacom ranging. At Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, Glorioso served in various marketing roles from 1999 to 2003, where she marketed and sold sponsorships across the company portfolio.

Kraselsky will join NBCUniversal from ESPN where she was SVP, international sales and sponsorships, having led initiatives for all of ESPN International’s multi-media platforms across the world since 2008. From 2006 to 2008, Kraselsky was VP, East Coast sales at Reactrix Systems Inc. In 2002, Kraselsky founded LK Sales Consulting and Project Management, serving as Vice President, Corporate Partnerships for the XPrize Foundation, a premier nonprofit prize institute. From 1987 to 2001, Kraselsky held multiple roles at Turner Broadcasting.

Scheiner was promoted from director, advertising sales, CNBC where she managed the New York Sales team and overall brand positioning. From 2001 to 2012, Scheiner was account executive, primetime and specials at NBCUniversal. Prior to that role, Scheiner held account executive positions at NBC News (1999-2001) and MSNBC (1996-1999). Scheiner joined NBCUniversal in 1994, where she held multiple sales roles throughout the company’s cable divisions from 1994-1996.
