Nexstar is adding the CW affiliate in Des Moines-Ames, Iowa, to its growing portfolio, buying it from Pappas Telecasting.

Nexstar Buying KCWI For $3.5 Million
Nexstar Broadcasting is buying CW affiliate KCWI Des Moines-Ames, Iowa (DMA 72), from Pappas Telecasting for $3.5 million.
The purchase will give Nexstar a duopoly in Des Moines, since it already owns ABC affiliate WOI.
Pappas also owns the market’s MNT affiliate KDMI.

Umm no it wouldn’t give Nexstar a Duopoly with WHO-TV that is owned by Tribune Media. You need to get your facts straightened out. WOI-DT is an ABC affiliate owned by Nexstar.
