‘Night Court’ Back In Session On Laff Diginet

Katz Broadcasting’s comedy-themed multicast network Laff will add Night Court to its lineup starting Monday, Jan. 4, 2016. The show was a staple of NBC’s primetime lineup from 1984 to 1992.

Laff, which licensed all nine seasons and 193 episodes of the series from Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, will present back-to-back episodes weeknights from 8 to 9 p.m. ET and again at 10-11 p.m., with The Drew Carey Show in between from 9 to 10.

Night Court stars Harry Anderson as Judge Harold “Harry” T. Stone who presides over the nocturnal judiciary proceedings and its wacky cast of characters — both on trial and on staff.  The series features John Larroquette’s multiple Emmy-winning performance as Dan Fiedling, the court’s narcissistic prosecutor. Markie Post, Richard Moll as the iconic court officer Bull, Selma Diamond and Marsha Warfield are among the co-stars.

Laff debuted April 2015 and features a mix of contemporary off-network sitcoms and popular movies.  The Laff brand crosses multiple platforms, with the linear network carried on the signals of local broadcast stations with corresponding cable carriage and digital content being curated, aggregated and available at LAFF.com and on mobile via the Laff app, which is available for free in the Apple iTunes Store for iPhones and the Google Play Store for Android devices.
