Octavio Pulido Named KTAZ Weekend Anchor

Telemundo-owned KTAZ Phoenix (DMA 12) today appointed Octavio Pulido weekend news anchor for Noticiero Telemundo Arizona, effective immediately. Noticiero Telemundo Arizona airs Saturday and Sundays at 4:30 and 10 p.m. and is simulcast on Telemundo’s KHRR Tucson, Ariz. Pulido will make his on-air debut on Sept. 3.

Pulido joins KTAZ after working as an associate news producer, video journalist and fill-in anchor at Univision’s KTVW Phoenix since 2011. Before this, Pulido also worked as a contributing writer and photographer for the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Pulido earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Texas at El Paso. He is a member of the Arizona Latino Media Association and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
