O’Hara Named EVP, WB Brand Networks

Veteran ad sales executive John O’Hara to oversee media sales for Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.

Veteran advertising sales executive John O’Hara has been named executive vice president, Warner Bros. Brand Networks, where he will oversee all operations of the media sales department, handling national advertising time for first-run and off-network television programming distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.

Among the first-run series in which O’Hara and his team will sell national barter advertising time are: The Ellen DeGeneres Show, TMZ, Bethenny, Judge Mathis, The People’s Court and Extra. Off-net series include: The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Friends and The Middle. 

Based in New York, O’Hara will report to Ken Werner, president, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.

O’Hara joins Warner Bros. from sister company Turner Broadcasting where he worked for 24 years, most recently as EVP-GM, young adults ad sales, managing ad sales on behalf of truTV, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim.  

Prior to joining Cartoon Network in 1999, O’Hara was VP of CNN Ad Sales and Marketing.

He received his bachelor’s degree in journalism at the University of South Carolina, where he currently serves on the board of governors.
