One World Sports To Air Japan’s Baseball Giants

ONE World Sports, which offers major sports from around the world, has struck a deal with the Nippon Television Network to telecast 72 Japanese baseball games this season featuring the Yomiuri Giants.

The Giants are Japan’s oldest and most popular baseball team, the current Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) champion and winner of 22 NBP titles in all.

The agreement provides ONE World Sports exclusive North American TV and and broadband rights to about three Giants games per week through the 2013, which tracks that of Major League Baseball in the U.S.

“This groundbreaking agreement gives baseball fans in the United States the opportunity to follow the action throughout the season of the most popular Nippon Professional Baseball team — which has produced some of the world’s most accomplished baseball players,” said Alexander Brown,CEOof ONE World Sports.

ONE World Sports Network is available throughout the U.S. via DISH Network, in the New York via Cablevision’s Optimum TV and in Des Moines, Iowa; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and The Quad Cities of Iowa and Illinois via Mediacom.
