Pablo Pereira Named KTTV-KCOP Meteorologist

Pablo Pereira today was named meteorologist for Fox-owned KTTV (Fox)-KCOP (MNT) Los Angeles (DMA 2). Pereira will provide weather forecasts for Studio 11 L.A., FOX 11 News at 10 PM, KCOP My13 News at 7PM and KCOP My13 News at 11PM.

Most recently, Pereira has been delivering weather forecasts for various KTTV and KCOP newscasts, since he joined the duopoly in September 2011. Prior to that, he served for more than a decade as a meteorologist for KNBC and KABC Los Angeles. Earlier, he was the weekday meteorologist at WFAA Dallas. 

Previously, he was a meteorologist for KSCS-FM Dallas, an anchor/producer for Calabasas, CTV, host/producer for CNN Local Edition in Pasadena, Calif., meteorologist for KNTV San Francisco and weekend evening meteorologist/weekday fill-in at KNSD San Diego.

Pereira began his broadcasting career in Abilene, Texas as a news anchor/reporter/meteorologist for KRBC and later held those positions at KERO Bakersfield, Calif., and at KSEE Fresno, Calif. 

A graduate of Sonoma State and Mississippi State Universities, Pereira holds a B.A. in English and the AMS Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society.
