Parquet-Taylor Named KTVT News Director

CBS brings Andrea Parquet-Taylor from WNCN Raleigh-Durham, N.C., to lead news operations at its Dallas O&O.

 

CBS-owned KTVT Dallas (DMA 5) today appointed Andrea Parquet-Taylor VP-news director. She will join the station in February. 

Parquet-Taylor joins the station from WNCN Raleigh-Durham, N.C., where she has been news director since 2011. During her tenure, WNCN received multiple Best Newscast honors from the Associated Press of North and South Carolina and Best Newscast and Best Website awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas. Under her leadership, WNCN was also honored with multiple regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, including the station’s first for Best Newscast.             

Prior to her time at WNCN, Parquet-Taylor was assistant news director at KHOU Houston. She also previously served as news director at WXYZ Detroit, WRAL-WRAZ Raleigh-Durham, N.C. and WMAR Baltimore.

Parquet-Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree in communications arts and sciences from Michigan State University and began her career as a producer at WXYZ Detroit.
