‘Paternity Court’ Moves Production To Atlanta

MGM’s Orion TV Productions’ first-run strip Paternity Court with Lauren Lake starts production on its second season at the Georgia Public Broadcasting Studios in Atlanta on June 24. Presiding judge Lauren Lake will once again take her place on the bench, helping families sort out complicated relationships.

Paternity Court with Lauren Lake, executive produced by David Armour, is the only new syndicated strip to improve its time period among Households, and all key women and adults during the February sweep.  The show also delivered the highest time period growth of any court show this February as well, and was renewed with stations reaching more than 90% of U.S. TV households, including CBS Television Station’s WLNY (New York) and such station groups as Hearst, Sinclair and Tribune who all renewed in the 2014-15 season. The show airs on Atlanta’s WUPA (CBS) weekdays at 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

“Moving Paternity Court to Atlanta gives us the opportunity to feed off the energy of this great city. Viewers especially in this market have warmly received the show,” said David Armour, the show’s executive producer. “Our production offices are locked and loaded and we can’t wait to begin season two in June.”

Paternity Court with Lauren Lake is a nationally syndicated 30-minute court show airing five days a week, which premiered in more than 92% of the country in September 2013. The show debuted in all of the top 50 markets and on station groups including Tribune, CBS, Sinclair, Weigel, Hearst and others, encompassing more than 140 stations nationwide.
