Pivot Promotes Jerry Blake And Carla Lewis-Long

Participant Media today announced two promotions of Pivot television executives — Jerry Blake to EVP of business and legal affairs and Carla Lewis-Long to SVP of distribution.

Blake will continue to be based out of Pivot’s Los Angeles office, reporting to Participant Media’s Chief Financial Officer Bob Murphy. While Lewis-Long will continue to be based out of Pivot’s New York City office, reporting to Pivot’s EVP of Distribution and Affiliate Relations Stephanie Ruyle.

Blake, who oversees all Pivot deals and policies, joined the company in October 2013 from BBC Worldwide Americas in New York, where he worked on distribution of BBC America and BBC World News and digital distribution of BBC Worldwide programming in North America. Prior to that, Blake held positions as general counsel of Sundance Channel and in legal affairs at Rainbow Media (now AMC Networks), where he supported AMC, IFC, WE and Bravo and IFC Films.

Before that, Blake was an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison in New York City, and graduated from Stanford Law School.

Lewis-Long, who will continue to drive Pivot’s distribution reach, also joined Pivot in 2013 from Nuvo TV, where she worked as VP of affiliate sales and marketing serving bi-cultural Latinos.

Prior to nuvo TV, Lewis-Long held positions as SVP affiliate sales for AmericanLife TV Network; VP of national accounts for Oxygen Network; and director of affiliate sales and marketing for USA Networks/NBC Universal. Lewis-Long earned her Bachelor of Science in mass communications from Emerson College.
