Popcornflix Acquires Lifestyle Morning Shows

Free streaming movie and TV programming service Popcornflix has added five morning shows through a new partnership with O2 Media. The new programming has been airing on Lifetime and marks the streaming service’s first foray into the lifestyle genre, exposing Popcornflix to a new audience.

“As the Popcornflix audience grows, it is crucial to keep expanding our library with new genres and fresh content,” said David Fannon, EVP at Popcornflix. “These shows represent our commitment to give our users a diverse and exciting viewing experience. We are proud to make O2 Media’s popular morning shows available for free streaming anywhere from your phone, to your computer, to your TV.”

Among the new programming is The Balancing Act, which Popcornflix describes “an upbeat morning show that brings today’s busy on-the-go modern women positive solutions and cutting-edge ideas to help balance and enrich their lives.”

Other programs touch on everything from DIY home improvement (Designing Spaces), to fitness and positivity (Mission Makeover, to culinary competitions featuring dishes anyone can make at home (All Mixed Up).

Popcornflix is also hosting the VOD premiere of Access Health, a program which had its Lifetime premiere last fall that tackles a variety of health issues from the perspectives of medicine, nutrition and fitness.

An ad-supported platform, Popcornflix includes pre-roll, mid-roll and banner ads in all movies and TV shows.
