Popcornflix Free Movies, TV Available On Xbox One

Popcornflix, a free streaming movie and TV programming service, has made its app available to Xbox One users in the U.S. and Canada. In connection with its Xbox One launch, Popcornflix has added a new feature that lets viewers choose Popcornflix Kids, a kid-friendly portal, at the main Popcornflix screen.

Popcornflix offers hours of entertainment, from TV shows to special holiday programming like the animated Christmas Is Here Again. In addition, Popcornflix presents feature adaptations of popular video games like Far Cry, Bloodrayne and Postal.

With the new Popcornflix Kids portal, parents can provide children with hours of family entertainment and ensure that children browse only age-appropriate material by selecting Popcornflix Kids at the main screen. Kid-friendly programming includes favorites like Big Comfy Couch, classic cartoons such as Popeye and seasonal programs like The Nutcracker.

“Today, people have more programming options available than ever before, and we’re proud to offer quality content for free to a worldwide audience via the Xbox One platform,” said David Fannon, Popcornflix EVP.

Popcornflix is an ad-supported platform. Each TV show and film includes pre-roll, spot ads and banner ads.

Popcornflix is also available on Xbox 360, Roku, Google TV, Android, iOS, the Web and on Smart TVs from Samsung and Panasonic. Popcornflix will be available on PlayStation 4 in the first quarter of 2015.
