The multicast network focused on adventure and exploration adds stations from Tegna, Univision, Nexstar and more to its growing list of affiliates.
Quest Diginet Expands Distribution
Quest, the new, free, over-the-air adventure and exploration multicast TV network from Cooper Media, announced today that it has launched in markets covering more than 52% of U.S. broadcast households in just two months.
Quest’s partners include major broadcasters such as Tegna, Univision and Nexstar, which carry the network in 40 of its total 56 markets. Quest launched on Jan. 29 on Tegna’s 28 stations, followed by eight Univision stations (Los Angeles; Philadelphia; Miami; Orlando, Fla.; Raleigh, N.C.; Albuquerque, N.M.; Fresno, Calif.; and Bakersfield, Calif.) and three Nexstar stations (Des Moines, Iowa; Shreveport, La.; and Burlington, Vt.) in March.
“The launch of Quest has exceeded our expectations and by passing the 50% distribution threshold in just two months cements Quest’s position as one of the premier multicast networks available,” said Steve Schiffman, CEO of Cooper Media. “As consumers continue to gravitate to free over-the-air television, Quest offers an attractive, new factually-based reality programming option for them.”
Cooper Media is the parent company of both Quest and the Justice Network. Both networks are founded by Cooper Holdings Chairman Lonnie Cooper.
