Rachel Miskowiec Named ‘Katie’ Executive Producer

Two-time Emmy Award-winning producer Rachel Miskowiec will be joining Katie as executive producer, it was announced today by Vicki Dummer, EVP, ABC Media Group.

Miskowiec has an extensive background in daytime television production.  She was executive producer on The Tyra Banks Show, garnering two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Informative Talk Show. She also executive-produced Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers and OWN’s Your Best Life Now talk shows. Her other credits include senior supervising producer on the courtroom show Judge Hatchett and supervising producer on the daytime talker Life & Style.

In addition, Miskowiec spent more than eight years at The Ricki Lake Show in various producer roles including supervising senior producer. Most recently, Miskowiec was a development executive at Telepictures Productions.

Katie airs in over 96% of the United States country and has been renewed for a second season (2013-14). The show is executive-produced by Katie Couric and Rachel Miskowiec. Co-executive producers are Kathy Samuels, Matt Strauss and Ethan Nelson and the program is distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television.
