Randy Smith Upped To GSM At KOKI-KMYT

Cox Media-owned KOKI (Fox) and KMYT (MNT) Tulsa, Okla. (DMA 59), announced today the promotion of Randy Smith to the general sales manager.

Smith has been with the stations since 2011 as a local sales manager. Since the acquisition of these two stations by Cox Media Group in December 2012, Smith has been training the local sales staff and preparing them to adopt new procedures and selling methods.

Prior to joining KOKI-KMYT, Smith spent five years as local sales manager at KJRH Tulsa. Before that, he held the positions of local sales manager, general sales manager, and director of sales at Clear Channel Radio, also in Tulsa.

Before entering broadcast sales, Smith held sales management positions with Coors, Miller and 7-Eleven. Altogether, he has 28 years of experience in sales and marketing management.
