Ratner Named EVP Litgation At Fox Networks

Jill Ratner today was promoted to executive vice president, litigation for the Fox Entertainment Group, it was announced today by Executive Vice President Gary D. Roberts of Fox Group Legal. 

In her new role, Ratner will lead the general litigation team, which oversees litigation and claims across the Fox companies. Roberts, to whom Ratner will continue to report, said: “Not only has Jill been instrumental in Fox’s successful litigation of many high profile cases over the past 12 years, she has become an exemplary business executive within the company. She has earned this greatly expanded role.”

Ratner most recently was SVP, litigation where she and her team contributed to precedent-setting cases including WNET v. Aereo (ABC v. Aereo), one of the most high-profile and closely-watched copyright lawsuits affecting the television industry, and Fox Television Stations Inc. et al. v. FilmOn X LLC et al.

Prior to her career at Fox, Ratner worked as litigation counsel at two major Los Angeles law firms and at the Motion Picture Association of America.

Ratner graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from The University of California at Los Angeles with a bachelor’s degree in communications studies. After graduation, she graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
