Raycom Names Warren Spector New CFO

The financial and operations executive joins Raycom from Barrington Broadcasting.

Warren Spector today was named Chief Financial Officer for Raycom Media.

Spector, a veteran financial and operations executive, previously worked with the Walt Disney Family Foundation at Retlaw Enterprises as CFO, Fisher Communications as EVP-COO and most recently at Barrington Broadcasting where he was CFO.   

“Warren has managed change, mergers and acquisitions, startups and turnarounds.” said Paul McTear, president-CEO of Raycom Media. “He brings tremendous experience to the Raycom Media team as we move forward into the future of broadcast, digital and multimedia platforms.”

Pat LaPlatney, COO of Raycom Media added: “Warren is a critical thinker and able to analyze, organize and manage diverse projects. He has time and time again shown the ability to grow revenue while finding creative and financially successful solutions throughout his career. We are thrilled to have Warren join Raycom Media.”

Spector, while SVP and chief financial officer of Barrington Broadcasting was responsible for raising $300 million for acquisitions. Spector also was managing director at Lydian Wealth Management.

Spector has an MBA, from UCLA’s Graduate School of Management; a BA in economics, from UCLA, and is a CPA in California. He will continue on the board of directors of the Disney Family Foundation.
