Rebecca Thomas Joins KTBC As Anchor

Rebecca Thomas joins Fox-owned KTBC Austin, Texas (DMA  39), as weeknight anchor, effective Sept. 21. She will co- anchor the 5, 9, and 10 p.m. newscasts alongside Mike Warren.

Most recently, Thomas was a reporter and fill-in anchor at KPHO Phoenix. Prior to that, she was co-host and producer for KNXV Phoenix’s daily afternoon news/talk show ABC 15 Now! Earlier in her career, she spent five years as the station’s morning news anchor and co-host of “now@9.”

Before that, Thomas was a morning news anchor and reporter for KMIR Palm Springs, Calif. She previously served as a reporter and fill-in anchor for KESQ Palm Springs.

Thomas began her career as weekend anchor and reporter for KYMA Yuma, Ariz.

A graduate of San Diego State University, Thomas holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in communications and journalism.
