Renewals For ‘Kelly & Michael,’ ‘Millionaire’

Live is good through 2019-20 on the ABC Owned Television Stations Group, while Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is extended through 2016-17 on the majority of ABC Owned Stations.

Disney/ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution today renewed Live with Kelly & Michael on the ABC Owned Stations through the 2019-20 television season. In addition, the division has renewed game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire on the ABC Owned Stations for 2016-17 (with the exception of WLS Chicago). The eight ABC Owned stations are WABC New York, KABC Los Angeles, WLS Chicago, WPVI Philadelphia, KGO San Francisco, KTRK Houston, WRVD Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; and KFSN Fresno, Calif.

“We are exceptionally proud of Live’s unparalleled success and are thrilled to extend our highly valued partnership with the ABC Owned Stations for many more years to come,” said Janice Marinelli, president, Disney/ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution. “We are also very pleased to extend our relationship with their strong stations on Millionaire, which continues to resonate with viewers across the country.”

“Audiences love watching Live with Kelly and Michael. During the last week of 2015, the show achieved a 1.8 rating with women 25-54, the highest rating in that demo of any talk show this season,” said Rebecca Campbell, president, ABC Owned Television Stations Group. “Produced by our owned station WABC-TV, we are extremely proud of Live’s ability to innovate and connect with viewers and look forward to that continuing into the next decade.”

Hosted by Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan, Live will begin its 29th season in national syndication next fall.

Hosted by Chris Harrison, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is America’s richest game show, and continues to be the only program to offer a $1 million prize to each and every contestant. The show made its debut in national syndication in 2002 and the 2016-17 television season will mark its 15th year.
