Rentrak Adds Five Gray Stations

Multi-screen media measurement firm Rentrak Corp. today announced that Gray Television has signed a multi-year contract for Rentrak’s StationView Essentials service for five of its stations.

The new station are KKTV Colorado Springs and KKCO Grand Junction, both Colorado; and three stations in Charlottesville, Va. — WCAV, WVAW and WAHU.

Gray Television already subscribes to Rentrak’s TV database ratings service for its KAKE Wichita, Kan.; KOLO Reno, Nev.; WIBW Topeka, Kan.; and WOWT Omaha, Neb.

“Rentrak provides our stations with the comprehensive, electronic, passive and highly predictive audience measurement local broadcasters have been seeking for years,” said Nick Matesi, VP-GM of KKTV Colorado Springs.

“With its high-quality and efficient measurement service, Rentrak is exactly what my sales and news teams need to compete in today’s highly competitive and fragmented viewing environment,” said Dana McDonald, GM of KKCO Grand Junction.

TV Essentials is a television ratings database currency that provides daily measurement of all U.S. TV networks in all 210 U.S. TV markets. The service incorporates data from more than 19 million satellite, telco and cable television sets and integrates it with product consumption information.
