Reporter Scarlett Fakhar Joins KRIV Houston
Beginning Sept. 8, Scarlett Fakhar joins Fox-owned KRIV Houston (DMA 10) as a general assignment reporter for the station’s weekday 5 and 9 p.m. newscasts.
Most recently, Fakhar was the weekend morning anchor at KTBC Austin, Texas. Prior to that, she was a weekend anchor/producer and reporter for KAMC Lubbock, Texas.
Fakhar previously was a news intern for NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams and news reporter intern for WGHP High Point, N.C. She began her career as a news reporter intern for KTRK Houston.
A graduate of Elon University, Fakhar holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism.
