Rheya Spigner Joins ‘KCCI 8 News This Morning’

Starting in May, Rheya Spigner joins Hearst’s CBS affiliate KCCI Des Moines, Iowa (DMA ). She will anchor KCCI 8 News This Morning’s Right Now breaking news coverage and KCCI’s traffic mapping system.

KCCI 8 News This Morning airs weekdays from 4:30 to 7 a.m., and leads into CBS This Morning. Spigner joins anchors Eric Hanson and Elizabeth Klinge.

Spigner is a 2013 graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University in Phoenix.

She currently is a reporter and anchor at WRDW Augusta, Ga., and previously worked at WFXL Albany, GA. She succeeds Shaina Humphries, who recently moved to anchor of KCCI’s new 9 p.m. newscast on the station’s MeTV subchannel, as well as anchoring breaking news and Right Now coverage for KCCI 8 News at 5, 6 and 10.
