‘Right This Minute’ Ups Clearances To 91%

MGM Television’s syndicated Web video show adds Fox stations in 10 major markets and also introduces new host Oli Pettigrew for the 2014-15 season.

Right This Minute, the daily syndicated series covering Web videos before they go viral and breaking the stories behind them, has cleared 91% of the country, expanding to 182 stations for the 2014-15 season.

Along with the expansion, Right This Minute has added a new host, Oli Pettigrew, who joins the series effective immediately.

RightThisMinute rolled out nationally in September 2013 to kick off its third season. Previously, the show had been distributed on a limited basis to approximately 30% of the country. Fox Television stations will air Right This Minute in 10 major markets Monday through Friday in late morning and afternoon time periods, along with a weekend version, beginning Sept. 8. BRAND CONNECTIONS

New host Oli Pettigrew will join current hosts Beth Troutman, Christian Vera, Nick Calderone and Gayle Bass. Pettigrew was born in Hong Kong, schooled in England, and recently relocated to the U.S. from Singapore. Pettigrew is best known for hosting Cash Cab Asia and Lonely Planet: Six Degrees China. He has also previously hosted shows for Channel News Asia, Channel V, Star World, HBO, Cinemax, Food Network, TLC and AXN.

Right This Minute is syndicated by MGM Television and produced by MagicDust Television, in partnership with Cox Media Group, Raycom Media and E.W. Scripps. The program produces two original half-hour episodes every weekday with no repeats and no hiatus, along with a “best of” weekend show. The show’s executive producers include former TMZ executive producer Lisa Hudson and journalist Dennis O’Neill.
