Rix Garey Named GM Of KFDM Beaumont

Sinclair Broadcast Group on Friday appointed Rix Garey General Manager of its CBS-CW affiliate KFDM Beaumont, Texas (DMA 141). He succeeds Larry Beaulieu who retired at the end of September.

Garey will be responsible for oversight of the station, which is programmed by Sinclair under a time brokerage agreement with owner Freedom Broadcasting.

Garey joined KFDM in 1980 and most recently was its general sales manager. During his tenure at the station he has held various sales positions including local sales manager and director of retail development.

Garey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a major in marketing from the University of Tennessee.
