Robert Raff New GM Of Nexstar’s Topeka TVs

The local TV and sales management executive is tapped by Nexstar to oversee its KSNT (NBC) and KTMJ (Fox) operations as well as Vaughan Media’s ABC-CW affil KTKA.

Nexstar Media Group today appointed Robert Raff VP-GM of its KSNT (NBC) and KTMJ (Fox) and associated digital services serving Topeka, Kan. (DMA 135).

In his new role, he will also oversee Nexstar’s relationship with Vaughan Media’s KTKA (ABC/CW) under a joint operating agreement. He will assume his new responsibilities immediately and report to Julie Pruett, SVP and Regional Manager of Nexstar Broadcasting. 

Raff has over three decades of broadcasting experience with expertise in station and sales management, local news programming, digital content development and strategic planning across multiple media platforms. He most recently was VP-GM of the former WFXS Wausau, Wis. In addition, the owner of WFXS appointed Raff to oversee the financial and operational management of the co-owned WVFX Clarksburg, W.Va.

Prior to his tenure in Wausau, Raff was GM of KTMJ Topeka for 14 years.

He began his broadcasting career as a station/operations manager in Minnesota where he was responsible for developing local programming and negotiating content partnerships with local sports franchises.

Raff is a graduate of Fredonia (N.Y.) State University where he earned a B.A. in broadcast communications.
