The executive producer at a 24-hour FiOS news channel is tapped to head news operations at the Providence, R.I., ABC affiliate.

Robert Rockstroh Named ND At WLNE
Citadel Communications’ ABC affiliate WLNE Providence, R.I. (DMA 53), has named Robert J. Rockstroh news director, effective Jan. 4.
For the past year he was executive producer at Verizon’s FiOS1 News in Rye Brook, N.Y., where he was responsible for all on air content of the 24-hour news operation.
A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Rockstroh’s experience includes news director at WTIC Hartford, Conn.; news director at WKJG Fort Wayne, Ind.; assistant news director at KSTP Minneapolis; producer at KRON and KPIX in San Francisco; and producer at KCST and KFMB in San Diego.
