DMA 12: SEATTLE

Romeo Solomon New KIRO National Sales Mgr.

Cox Media’s CBS affiliate KIRO Seattle (DMA 12) announced that Romeo Solomon, a Seattle native who spent six years at the station earlier in his career, will re-join KIRO’s sales team to fill the national sales manager position.

He will begin on Jan. 2, reporting to director of sales Michelle Woods.

A graduate of the University of Washington, Solomon began his Cox Media Group management career with KIRO in 1998 and he co-led the national sales and local sales efforts until 2004.

After six years at KIRO, Solomon moved to KTVU San Francisco where he worked as the national sales manager (2004-05) and local sales manager (2005-12).  In 2013, Solomon was promoted to general sales manager of KICU, the sister station of KTVU, where he remained until the station changed ownership in October 2014.

In 2015, Solomon moved to WFXT Boston, where he managed three local account executives, one sales assistant, three CoxReps offices (Atlanta, Los Angeles and Seattle), and all sales department recruiting efforts. During his time in Boston he led the station’s efforts on projects such as the U.S. Open, MLB on Fox, and Fox College Football.
