Ross Video Integrates OverDrive With Carbonite

Ross Video unveiled the integration of its OverDrive automated production control system and Carbonite production switcher series at IBC 20014.

The integration makes automated production available to price-sensitive customers given the lower cost of a Carbonite system versus larger production switchers, the company said.

Recent developments in both products make the integration possible. Carbonite’s new, version 10 software release expands the system from 2 MEs to 2.5 MEs, which is well-suited for automated production. OverDrive Caprica is a new version of OverDrive that extends control to Carbonite as well as to production switchers from other companies.
