Saga 2Q Television Rev Climbs 7.2%

The company's four full-power and four low-power stations account for $5.3 million in revenue and operating income of $1.8 million.

Saga Communications today reported financial results for the quarter ended June 30 that included television net operating revenue of $5.3 million, which was up 7.2% from $4.9 million reported for the same quarter last year.

Television operating income came in at $1.8 million, an increase of 10% from $1.7 million in last year’s second quarter.

Saga owns or operates broadcast properties in 25 markets, including four full-power television stations and five low-power TV stations; 62 FM and 30 AM stations; and one state radio network.

The company as a whole reported 2Q net operating revenue of $34.4 million, an increase of 1.5% from $33.8 million in 2Q 2014, and a 6.4% decrease in net income to $4.5 million ($0.77 per fully diluted share).
