Saga 4Q Television Rev Down 5%

It dips to $5.6 million, but full-year TV revenue rises 5% to $21 million.

Saga Communications today reported financial results for the quarter and year ended Dec. 31 that included 4Q television net operating revenue of $5.6 million, down 5% from $5.9 million in the year-earlier quarter, and full-year 2015 net operating revenue of $21 million, up 5% from $20 million in 2014.

Television operating income came in at $1.9 million (4Q), down from $2.5 million in the 2014 quarter and $6.9 million (2015), compared to $7.1 million a year earlier.

Saga owns or operates broadcast properties in 26 markets, including four full-power television stations and five low-power TV stations and 67 FM and 32 AM stations.

The company as a whole reported 4Q net operating revenue of $35.6 million, down 2.2% from $36.4 million in 4Q 2015. For all of 2015, net operating revenue was $133 million, basically flat with 2014.
