Schurz’s Marci Burdick Named NABPAC Trustee

Marci Burdick, SVP of broadcasting for Schurz Communications, has been named a trustee of NABPAC, the political action committee of the National Association of Broadcasters, it was announced today.

“NABPAC plays a leading role in supporting federal candidates who appreciate the broadcast industry and what we do for our local communities on a daily basis,” Burdick said. “Serving as a NABPAC trustee is one of the most important things I can do to support local radio and TV stations.”

Burdick has been in her current position with Schurz since February 2003. In this capacity, she is responsible for supervising the company’s 11 radio stations, 10 television stations and three cable companies.

Her previous positions at Schurz include television VP; president-GM of WAGT-TV Augusta, Ga.; news director of KYTV-TV Springfield, Mo. She was also the anchor and news director at KOTA-TV and KEVN-TV in her hometown of Rapid City, S.D.

Burdick is a past chair of the NAB Television Board and the past president and chairman of the NBC Affiliates Association, and currently serves as vice chair of the CBS Affiliate Board. She is a past national chairwoman of the Radio Television Digital News Association, and was a trustee of its foundation for a decade.
