Scott McBride To Lead WICD-WCCU

Sinclair Broadcast Group has named Scott McBride general manager of its WICD (ABC) and WCCU (Fox) in Champaign, Ill. (DMA 84), and will also be responsible for sales for the market’s CW affiliate WBUI. Tim Mathis will continue to oversee the operations of WICS (ABC), WRSP (Fox) and WBUI there. The announcement was made by Steve Marks, Chief Operating Officer of Sinclair’s television group.

McBride has more than 33 years of sales and management experience.  For the last two years, he has been the president-GM of WJCL-WTGS Savannah, Ga., and prior to that he was the VP-GM of WACH Columbia, S.C., for 18 years.

Before that he was the general sales manager of KOLD Tucson, Ariz., and creative services/news account executive at KSBW Salinas, Calif.

McBride graduated with a degree in business from San Francisco State University.
