Scripps completes McGraw-Hill Stations Buy

The $212 million deal comprises full-power ABC affiliates in Denver (KMGH); San Diego (KGTV); Bakersfield, Calif. (KERO); and Indianapolis (WRTV) and low-power Azteca America affiliates in Denver; Fort Collins, Colo.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; San Diego; and Bakersfield, Calif.

The E.W. Scripps Co. today completed its acquisition of nine television stations from McGraw-Hill Broadcasting. The company announced its intention to acquire the stations for $212 million in cash on Oct. 3.

The deal comprises full-power ABC affiliates in Denver (KMGH); San Diego (KGTV); Bakersfield, Calif. (KERO); and Indianapolis (WRTV) and low-power Azteca America affiliates in Denver; Fort Collins, Colo.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; San Diego; and Bakersfield, Calif.

The FCC approved the deal earlier this month.

Financing for the transaction was provided by a bank group led by SunTrust Bank.
