Seth Meyers Among NYSBA Conference Keynoters

“Competing in the Chaos” is the theme of this year’s New York State Broadcasters Association’s annual executive conference.

Scheduled for June 24-25 at the Sagamore Resort Hotel in Bolton Landing, N.Y., the convention will honor Seth Meyers of NBC’s Saturday Night Live, who will receive its Broadcaster of the Year Award.

Peter King, a member of the House Homeland Security Committee will receive the New Yorker of the Year award

In addition, the group will present its Excellence in Broadcasting Awards to stations in recognition of “their superior efforts throughout the year.”

Marketing expert Jeremy Gutsche will be Tuesday morning’s keynote speaker followed by a Q&A session.

Tuesday’s panel sessions — Competing in the Chaos and Driving Social Strategy as a Competitive Advantage — follow, with panelists including Patrick Walsh of Emmis Communications, Morris Davenport of ESPN Radio, Mark Hyman of Sinclair Broadcast Group and Harvard Business School professor Mikolaj Jan Piskorski.
