Seven CBS TV Stations Add Rentrak Data

The group's stations in Dallas, Miami, Minneapolis and Pittsburgh will now be able to provide their clients with Rentrak demographic data.

Ratings service Rentrak today signed a local TV ratings contract with CBS Television Stations for seven stations: KTVT (CBS)-KTXA (independent) Dallas; WCCO Minneapolis-St. Paul; WFOR (CBS)-WBFS (MNT) Miami; and KDKA (CBS)-WPCW (CW), Pittsburgh.

The CBS Television Stations will use Rentrak’s local TV ratings in these four markets and have full access to Rentrak’s Advanced Automotive Demographics, which include television viewing tied to automobile make/model purchase behaviors.

“We look forward to using Rentrak’s Advanced Demographic information as a source of audience insights,” said Peter Dunn, president, CBS Television Stations. “Rentrak’s ability to connect viewing to actual purchasing will allow our stations to demonstrate the effectiveness of local television.”

“We are excited to welcome CBS Television Stations to our continuously-expanding family of client stations, agencies and networks. We look forward to working closely with them and to providing them with insights that will benefit both them and their clients,” said Bill Livek, Rentrak CEO- vice chairman.
