Sewee Serving Up ‘Southern Eats’

Sewee Entertainment is launching a new syndicated food and travel show, Dish Worth The Drive — Southern Eats. Sewee has cleared the new regional franchise in broadcast TV markets across the South including Texas and Florida.

The show will celebrate the food scene south of the Mason-Dixon line. It will premier in May and will air in more than 50 Southern markets representing over 30 million homes.

Affiliates include CBS in Dallas, Atlanta and Houston as well as Cox affiliates in Orlando, Charlotte, Memphis and Tulsa and ABC Owned WTVD in Raleigh/Durham.

Hosted by Food Network personality Steak Shapiro, each 30 minute episode has him eating his way through three “crave-worthy” destinations in the South. He will explore the sights, sounds and restaurants that make dining in the South and these towns so delicious — from creamy shrimp and grits in Charleston, S.C., to fresh fish in Tampa, Fla., and real pit BBQ in Texas.

“Regional Syndication is emerging as a great match for TV broadcasters and advertisers” says Sewee CEO Tim Voit. “We’re able to deliver fresh, relevant content to broadcasters while providing tailored messaging opportunities for savvy marketers”.

Title sponsors include Kia and RaceTrac.
