Shayna Seymour To Co-Anchor WCVB’s ‘Chronicle’

Hearst-owned ABC affiliate WCVB Boston (DMA 9) today promoted Shayna Seymour  to co-anchor of Chronicle with Anthony Everett effective Thursday, May 25.

Seymour has been a reporter and producer for WCVB’s award-winning, nightly news magazine for 11 years. In addition to her role on Chronicle, Seymour has been co-anchor of the weekend EyeOpener newscasts with Doug Meehan, and her replacement on the weekend morning newscasts is still to be announced.

With this promotion, Seymour replaces JC Monahan who will be leaving WCVB at the end of her contract.  Seymour joined Chronicle in April 2006 as a reporter/producer.

Seymour joined WCVB after working as an anchor and general assignment reporter at WGGB Springfield, Mass.  She launched her broadcast career at WSTM Syracuse, N.Y.

A native of Amherst, Mass., Seymour received a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Spelman College and Master of Science in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University.
