Sinclair Ups Amy Collins To Syracuse GM

The former sales director is tapped to lead its WSTM-WSTQ duopoly as well as oversee sales for WTVH under a JSA-SSA.

Sinclair Broadcast Group has promoted Amy Collins to general manager of WSTM (NBC) and WSTQ-LP (CW) Syracuse, N.Y. (DMA 85). She will also oversee sales and other non-programming related services of WTVH-TV (CBS) in Syracuse pursuant to a joint sales and shared services agreement.

Collins succeeds Chris Geiger, who left in April to be GM of Tribune’s duopoly in Hartford, Conn.

Collins has worked at WSTM, WTVH and WSTQ-LP for the past 15 years, most recently as the VP of sales/director of sales since 2009. From 2002 to 2009, she was the local sales manager/general sales manager at WTVH.

Prior to that she was the national sales manager at WTVH. From 1999 to 2000, she was an account executive at WTVH-TV.

Collins graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from The State University of New York at Oswego and has a Master of Business Administration from Lemoyne College in New York.
