Sinclair Ups Crawford To Salt Lake City GM

Sales Director Kent Crawford is now in charge of CBS affiliate KUTV and MNT affil KMYU as successor to Steve Carlston.

Sinclair Broadcast Group has named Kent Crawford general manager of KUTV (CBS) and KMYU (MNT) Salt Lake City (DMA 33). He succeeds Steve Carlston, who left in September to become president-GM of KNBC Los Angeles.

Crawford will be responsible for oversight of the stations, which are programmed by Sinclair under a time brokerage agreement.

Crawford joined KUTV in 1982 and most recently served as director of sales. During his tenure at the station he has held various sales positions including local sales manager, new business development director and account executive.

Crawford holds a Bachelor of Science degree in health science from the University of Utah.
